“It would be interesting,” is about as strong of an argument as I can make. I’m guessing is has to do with internal politics within the corporation.2 servers each have the same population at 50/50 ratioserver one: has more horde that raid log then allianceWhen it comes to big numbers, just statistically it will be very unlikely that what you described is gonna take place. 2019-11-26, 03:15 AM #17. IronForge I’m fascinated by the numbers, but I don’t see why Blizz should feel the need to ever share these numbers.that site is very dependent on who actually logs their raids if more horde raids are logged then alliance it would show on that site as that server having more horde then alliance, I understand a true 50/50 would be unlikely that is what we call a hypothetical scenarioThis is the most accurate database as of now, in my opinion.just because its the best we have does not make it anywhere near accurate.
Layering is GOOD. - All data is gathered from Battle.net API usign guilds and characters info.
Realms affected have also had their new character creation restricted, players previously without characters in those realms may not create new ones there for the time being. If you have a specific server in mind, just swap out the word 'server' for the server's name. As well as the population relatively to other realms.Well, Bigloafyboi (gosh how I didn’t want to type that out), although hope remains for mergers; we are not getting any. I figured it would get worse over time even after the free transfers were turned off.
It is the fourth released game set in the Warcraft fantasy universe.
I do like it, I just wish it had a few more people, even a couple of hundred would make a significant difference.Me too.
Improves the economy with more materials in the market, lowering their cost... AND queue reduction. I suppose I think you will find that number horribly wrong, both the current and the january one.why does the data need to be anything but private? all this counts is the raiders, and only the raids that use the logs, so you have to make the assumption that more the 90% of raids log their raids, all this really shows is the % of horde raiders Vs the % of alliance raiders that use the logs.server one: has more horde that log their raids then allianceNow add in to the fact that one server may have more raid loggers then the otherserver one: having a horde heavy population and a higher then server 2 population over alleven though both servers have same population size and balance, that site would say otherwise.I mean I get it its the best we have because blizzard to scared to release actual numbers, that dont make the anywhere near accurate.Source: Ironforge Database (counts active lvl 60 raiders for last two weeks).Remember when the 3 most populous realms (Whitemane, Faerlina, and Incendius at the time) were locked? "I rather queue for 3 hours than having layers".
- Active character: Character has logged in within 30 days. Wow Realm Population is for players who are looking for most active and populated Alliance or Horde realm and guild. How could you be against it?Layering is GOOD. Vanilla had a cap in the neighborhood of 3k players, and one layer worth of nodes. Layering is likely the second best solution, and while increased supply may be a concern, supply is unlikely to approach the demand per capita, especially the ratio that vanilla experienced. Blizzard will consolidate mergers when the population numbers only require few servers to keep a reasonable spread.Good question. Faerlina wasn’t in the top 5 even on I don’t know precisely why, but I suspect it has to do with a thriving community of new and leveling players as well as those raiding at level 60.Hope you found this thread useful, and have a productive day!Excellent work putting this together and breaking it down into comparisons from time A versus time B.I mean I get it its the best we have because blizzard to scared to release actual numbers, that dont make the anywhere near actuate.Yeah I’ve been wondering that question too - why wouldn’t they release the data?
I think it is pretty interesting and useful to see the way realm populations change over time. These numbers might not reflect the actual population with 100% accuracy. Also, you can see clearly, that once a PvP server doesn’t have any Alliance or any Horde, it tends to lose its popularity - and people tend to migrate to other realms after they themselves have hunted down every opposite faction player to extinction and turned their server from PvP to PvE.Interesting dynamics can be seen with the rise of Netherwind, Benediction and Earthfury (all servers gained 4500+ raiders) and with the fall of Incendius, Stalagg and Skeram (who lost >1000 raiders over the same period). For more info, check out Ironforge Database (that had an update today)Interesting to see that the faction balance on Herod really hasn’t changed much in the past several months. There are a few things to keep in mind before you take the leap into making a home on a new realm. Because queuing is a part of Classic experience.Would be nice if they would adress the black lotus problem as they are clearly aware of it.Layering is GOOD. * Population - amount of unique players that meet any of the two conditions: - has a level 110 character that killed something in Tier 24 Heroic Mode - has a level 110 character in a guild that killed something in Tier 24 Heroic Mode It's been done time and time again, it's difficult to fight against both the population fluxes and player clustering, *and* allowing people to play with their friends, *and* maintaining a healthy equilibrium between both supply and demand.
How could you be against it? - Characters under level 10 are not counted.
