Maybe. If you already have Massachusetts, you have a Georgia analogue, for example. My biggest dilemma with Georgia is how many US premiums I have, especially at high tier, while my French line is rather barren. You're quite welcome. Instead, I play Gascogne; Alsace; and Republique if I want to get aggressive in a ship with pew pew secondaries.
Thunderer: unless they changed something from when she was first teased to now I see no reason why this is worth it.
Boils down to most fun and credit earnings which to do ya'll think is king? Pre-nerf Alsace is my all time favorite ship. The "Should I get Salem?" I kind of feel that way about Georgia, if I want big accurate guns I can play Yamato with the Legendary or if I want Secondary action I can play GK or Massachusetts. But is it different enough from main line USN BBs? @Peroidas go for Georgia, you won't regret it.
She makes a fantastic US Heavy Cruiser Captain trainer and easily makes money at T10, but if you have Des Moines and a perma camo for her, Salem is not as useful.9 Have not even really started French lines so might be good to see if French worth going down. For me, Jean Bart fills a more immediate need. Georgia looks OP IMO. I passed on her just like I passed on Nozuma. They were never built but 5 were approved, had names and hull numbers, and were even assigned to shipyards to begin construction before they were cancelled. Monarch is quickly moving up the ranks, too. ** Which one is more durable during kiting/pushing?
It's a ship that rewards smart play like no other. According to the versatility of this ship.. I think Azuma has more fun to play.
[RSFSR]
Horrible captain trainer seeing there are only three confirmed ships for the Pan EU tree Just picked mine up (although full price. Waiting patiently for your full review...never mind found it thanks Mouse Gets my vote. Out of those only the Jean Bart will not crap as consistently on cruisers since some actually have the hull plating to bounce 380mm AP shells, but in return with the MBRB she can deal a ludicrous amount of damage to opportune BB sides.
The First Blessing. She's a Shotgun but only 6 max pellets flying at any given time. JB: Seems most "fun" and originally set on this ship until new ships came out. I’m just glad you don’t have Aigle on the list. So if you had Massachusetts but not Bourgogne, I would get Jean Bart first instead of Georgia and vice versa.
At the time my choices were Salem and JB (Yoshi was out and was getting bad reviews, Georgia was not out yet). Maybe like a longer-firing-range Alaska with torps? Seems like a "tanky" Zao which play style is kinda dead/not fun it seems If you don't have either (and don't intend to collect either), Jean Bart and Georgia are very different animals. Jean Bart.. it will be leaving the arsenal the soonest. The Community laid their eyes upon Georgia's main armament and became morose. The design just WORKS, you know?
The Georgia is absolutely too strong for tier 9, just like the Musashi. But JB's AA is highly competitive. Which ship should I unlock 1st?
Having the Wooster and close to having the Des just hard for me to justify getting a similar ship. Jean Bart's gunnery, combined with MBRB consumable IMO make her a better player in Random Battles than Georgia. ** main battery accuracy jean bart vs Georgia I'm going to wait a bit and see what happens with Yoshino first but if it doesn't appeal I will probably go for Georgia. Her playstyle isn't that drastically different than that of Dunkerque's or Richelieu, it also has potent secondaries but not as awesome as Bismarck. Only using a 7pt captain on this, I wonder what this would be like with a Stealth Build. 1. But is it different enough from main line USN BBs? Jean Bart has the advantage of being a good ship, unlike the Georgia. So unless I choose to start going down the French line JB is kinda pointless in the trainer role and not a T10. If it was a musashi then you'd have get around 1million credits Either way thanks for the well thought out reply, I'm kinda hoping GA plays somewhat like Gneisenau with a bigger schlong and no torps. 4) Yoshino. MBRB will also help you reignite those kremlins who are trying to use their faster dcp.
Pretty much same here.
There's some good advice here, but it's still a tough choice. I need your help.
JB is Hilariously fun, being able to speed boost out of a situation is a bonus.
You already have a Tier 10 ship, and Salem would not be your first. That's what's got me tied up in knots at the moment. (Definitely better than Puerto Rico ) and she also the every playstile; accuracy, secondary, your choice. *I have neither of those ships and my opinion is solely based on my in-game observation so take whatever I said above with a pinch of salt...and paprika (for added flavor) I think I should get JB .. I think June 22ndish? Georgia may seem more difficult to handle owing to its weak broadside armor and 6 guns but comes with a crazy top speed of 38kts so you can always be on the move which makes it impossible for most DDs to chase you down) Pet hates about Georgia right away is there is no option to extend the fire range using the last module. I got her in December and haven't regretted a single bit of coal that I paid for her. [ATLAS] Waste of your coal IMO unless you really love IJN ships. Not sure about this ship yet -- probably play style.
Hello all shipmates..
When it comes to her HP pool, the Georgia isn’t winning any price with 74 100 HP. + Overmatching 457mm guns, albeit not quite LOLPEN 460mm of the IJN guns. I still haven't made up my mind on that one! Already got JB. MA however is more maneuverable and although the armor seems about the same MA seems much tankier and more able to take a side shot than Georgia which like Iowa/Missouri is very fragile on the side.
