The Naval Special Warfare Assessment Team (NSWAT) is the authoritative voice for Naval Special Warfare training and heritage. They're concerned with strength and endurance, not symmetry and hair-loss products. The exception to that rule is if you're a beginner. It's always better to cut down on endurance/cardio activities rather than strength activities, as you do gain quite a bit of cardiovascular benefits from strength training but almost no strength benefits from cardio training.
